My first attempt at a human style plushie.
It is actually practice for two or three other plushies...I just wanted to make sure I could do it before I tried to make the Kevin plushie I really want to make. Basically, he was made really fast. In 2 days, actually.
I already know what to fix for the real versions.

1. The SHOES. Seriously. Kevin's boots may look cool, but making them is crazy. Especially for me who has never sewn anything other than an Omnimelon XD. They ended up looking like duck feet. But that is why you make a practice one FIRST. I had to make them 3 different times before I was fed up with it and prototpe Kevin will just have to make due with his duckie feet. One of them has "Kevin 11" written on the bottom in silver Sharpie. Just so everyone can know who it is XD.

2. The hair. This is an easy fix. I need to get a hot glue gun and that will pretty much solve the hair problem.

3. The Clothes. I seriously need to pattern the clothes. Mostly the pants. The shirt was easy to trim to fit, but the pants need more planning. The back of them look craptaculous. But that's why plushies face forward!

4. The lock. Alright, for the real ones, I am actually going to buy small locks to make into necklaces. The silver Sharpie version is for the prototype only...unless the real locks end up looking real lame in real life.

5. The face? It grew on me. At first, I thought he looked like a happy young Snape. But after awhile...he looked pretty good.

What's he made of?
Fleece. It was on sale at Jo Ann's. So the fleece ended up costing less three dollars for the flesh tone...enough for several of these little guys.

His clothes are made of fleece and felt. Once again...I think I'll go all fleece next time. It is very easy to sew.

I think I'll just have to go buy more black and green. I find fleece easier to work with than felt...and it is softer, which makes it better for huggling.

I may...I said MAY attempt a Gwen after I have perfected the Kevin. Actually, I probably will....just don't know when exactly XD
This was started as a relaxing project for when I don't want to read but still want to do something. Like when I get home from class and I'm not tired enough to sleep, but I'm too tired to work. I'll work on these guys for an hour, then go to sleeep.XD

Total plushie time: 12 hours. Wow. The next one should be faster. XD
